I decided to become a nurse because I have always been an empathetic individual who tends to anyone in need. I believe everyone deserves to feel supported and looked after. That’s what nursing is all about!
I chose to attend Hondros College of Nursing because the school was referred to me by a friend. I knew Hondros had a nursing focused program, and I knew I could get my feet wet and pursue becoming a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
The advice I would give to someone who is interested in nursing school is to always remember your “why.” As in, why you decided to become a nurse, because believe me, nursing school can be challenging. It is important to lean on your support systems and make friends during school. This has helped me push through the hard times when I felt like I couldn’t do it anymore. Plus, I have made everlasting friendships.
In addition to my support systems, I have had to remain dedicated to school, prioritize my studies, and focus on time management. If you are new at Hondros, or if you have been a student and need resources, tips, or even just a friend, I am here for you. If you see me when passing by, say hello!
